HT-4200 Digital Handheld Tachometer

Non Contact

Measures the Speed of Rotating Objects in Revolutions Per Minute (RPM)

The HT-4200 is a robust and compact non contact tachometer that measures rotational speed of moving objects.  This tachometer offers high quality and high accuracy readings via a non contact measurement lens. Simply attach the reflective markers on the object to be measured, press and hold the power switch, the rotational speed is clearly displayed in digital form in 1 second intervals. This HT-4200 tachometer is very easy and simple to use, just point the tachometer beam at the reflective marker for instant readings.

FEATURES OF HT-4200 TACHOMETER
Wide Measurement range from 30 to 50,000 r/min
Accuracy up to ±1 r/min
Reflective surfaces can be measured easily via the reflective marks that are supplied.
Detection distance 20 to 300 mm
Memory recall of 10 locations/measurements

Non Contact Tachometers can be used to measure rotational speed of moving objects in a wide variety applications such as:

  • car engines, shafts or discs
  • measurement of DC motors
  • motors that are not visible such as finished products like power drills and vacuum cleaners
  • rotational speed of fans and compressors

Key Features of the HT4200 Ono Sokki Tachometer

1. Wide Measurement Range

The HT4200 tachometer boasts a broad measurement range that supports a variety of applications. It can measure rotational speeds from a low range of 4 r/min (when multiple reflective marks are used) to 50,000 r/min (when single reflective mark is used), offering versatility for different types of machinery, from small motors to high-speed turbines. This wide range ensures that users can rely on the HT4200 for all your speed measurement needs.

2. Laser and Contact Measurement

The 5-digit display enables wide-ranging measurement and the non contact laser measurement mode allows for remote detection of rotational speed without any physical contact with the rotating surface. This is ideal for hard-to-reach areas, hazardous machinery, or components that are too delicate for direct contact.

3. High Accuracy and Resolution

The HT4200 tachometer delivers exceptional accuracy, this level of precision is crucial when precise speed measurements are needed to ensure machinery is operating within specifications. Furthermore, the device’s high resolution allows it to measure fine changes in speed, providing greater insight into system performance and helping to detect early signs of wear or malfunction.

4. Large, Easy-to-Read LCD Display

Featuring a bright and clear LCD display, the HT4200 allows users to read measurements with ease, even in low-light environments. The screen is designed to present rotational speeds in both large numerals and smaller data readouts for added convenience. The display can also show additional information like measurement mode, battery status, and units of measurement (RPM, RPS, etc.), providing a comprehensive view of the measurement conditions.

5. Data Hold and Max/Min Memory Function

The tachometer includes a data hold function that allows users to freeze the current reading for easy reference. This is especially useful in fast-moving or hard-to-observe machinery where reading at a specific moment is required. Additionally, the HT4200 features a max/min memory function that records the highest and lowest readings during a measurement session, which can be invaluable for tracking performance trends over time.

6. Built in Memory Function

The HT4200 is equipped with a built in memory function that allow users to store measurements. This function is beneficial in monitoring and analysing machine performance during operation.

7. Compact and Ergonomic Design

The HT4200 Tachometer is designed with portability in mind. Its compact, lightweight construction allows for easy handheld operation, ensuring comfort during extended use.

8. Long Battery Life

Using standard AAA batteries provides a continuous measurement time of approximately 20 hours continuous operation, making it an ideal tool for both fieldwork and laboratory environments.

9. User-Friendly Interface

The HT4200 is designed to be intuitive and easy to operate. Its simple button layout, combined with the clear on-screen instructions, ensures that even first-time users can quickly get accustomed to the device. In addition, the instruction manual provides comprehensive guidance on setup, usage, and troubleshooting, making it a user-friendly choice for a broad range of professionals.
