Manometers are used in a variety of applications to measure pressure. There are different types of manometers and some are designed to provide differential pressure measurement.
Pressure and force are linked and pressure is a measurement of this force (F) and how it is exerted per unit area (A). P = F/A is the equation used. The SI unit for pressure is the pascal (Pa), equal to one newton per square metre (N/m2, or kg·m−1·s−2). There are five units of measure for pressure: pascal (Pa), kilopascal (kPa), megapascal (MPa), psi (pound per square inch), torr (mmHg), atm (atmospheric pressure) and bar.
Enough of the science! - put simply there are three different types of pressure gauges:
Manometers can be split into two categories:
1.Analog Manometers
2. Digital Manometers
Analog manometers are usually one of the cheapest manometers where accuracy is not essential.
Digital Manometers are used for a variety of measurement applications and are one of the most popular choices as they provide a high level of accuracy.
Techris Systems supply a range of digital manometers that can provide you with the measurement solutions for your industry.
