Humidity meters (or thermohygometers) measure the concentration of water vapour present in gases, most often in air, and levels are dependent on temperature Readings are expressed as 'relative humidity'. These measurements can be important as an environmental factor in buildings/rooms or as part of industrial or food processing applications to ensure the optimal amount of moisture is present. Relative humidity measurements and levels can also be important in metrology, agricultural and pharmaceutical industries.
